September 2026 Entry

To be eligible to join in 2026 you must be:

  • Resident within Bristol, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset or Wiltshire* AND EITHER
  • Born between 1st September 2009 and 31st August 2010 OR
  • Born between 1st September 2010 and 31st August 2011 and in your final year of GCSEs.

In exceptional circumstances, applications will be considered from students born between 1st September 2008 and 31st August 2009.

You must also meet the minimum entry criteria, detailed on the ‘How It Works’ page.

*Applicants from outside the school catchment area will only be considered if their family has a firm plan to move to the area, irrespective of gaining a place at EMS.
