Strategic Partnerships for Innovation in Data Analytics in Schools
We are partnering with local and international colleagues to research Data Analytics in schools. Whilst Big Data is a bit of a buzz word and has the potential to have a meaningful impact, it’s only any use if our workforce has the skills and creativity needed to turn it into insight and action.
Our Research
We will implement our teaching of data analytics through student-centred, problem-based learning, focusing on the impacts of weather and climate change. We will use design-based research methodology and a range of quantitative and qualitative methods, including interviews, assessments, student logs, observation and focus groups in order to evaluate our teaching.
Research Partners
Led by the University of Exeter, SPIDAS brings together a network of three universities, nine schools and colleges and the Met Office.
