On Thursday 17th December year 12 EMS students concluded their first term at the school by entertaining an audience of close to 400 people during our Christmas Lectures, held at the University of Exeter. Students shared their project work, explaining diverse concepts from the Expanding Universe and the Impact of an Astoroid on Earth to the Mathematics of Suduko and Fourier Transforms. Surprising connections were made, combining Mathemaitcs with Philiospohy and Politics; this continued with our Keynote Speaker, Dr Colin Wright, who explored Mathemematics in Unexpected Places through the medium of Juggling.
